For more than five decades, IARC Postdoctoral Fellowships have contributed to the development of human resources for cancer research and cancer control worldwide, through the training of early career scientists in areas of the Agency’s expertise.
Currently, IARC Postdoctoral Fellowships are targeting early career scientists from low- and middle-income countries.
Fellowships are for a period of two years and are tenable at IARC. Fellows can apply for a return grant, supporting the establishment of their research activity upon return to their home country, after completion of their stay at IARC.
The call is currently open on a biennial basis, typically between September and end November. The selection of Fellows is driven solely by scientific excellence and ensured by the IARC Fellowship Selection Committee, composed of scientists from within and outside IARC. Results are communicated in the following year in April-May for a start at IARC before the end of the year (end November).
