The EMBO Practical Course “Metabolomics Bioinformatics in Human Health” will be held in IARC, Lyon, France on 16-20 September 2019.
This course is aimed at those interested in advancing their knowledge about metabolomics data handling and data analysis, more specifically in fields related to human health. Candidates are ideally at their late-stages of PhD, post-doctoral researchers with at least two years of experience in the field of metabolomics or early career PI.
Candidates are requested to complete the online application by 15 May at the latest. Look at what is required in the downloadable application list of fields document below. Candidates are requested to provide a short description of the poster they will bring along with them if selected. In addition a letter of support from the candidate’s institution and a document providing additional information should be attached to the application form. Templates of the two documents can be downloaded from the online application process.
Only complete application with the requested documents will be considered for selection. Selected candidates will be notified by e-mail and will be asked to proceed to the payment of the registration fee by 15 June 2019 at the latest.
Registration fee includes:
- five nights’ accommodation (including B/Fast) at a nearby residence as per your attendance to the EMBO Practical Course 16-20 September 2016
- lunches, dinners (including gala dinner), and coffee/tea breaks organized during the EMBO Practical course from Monday to Friday at the exception of the dinner on Friday 20 September 2019
- EMBO Practical Course training material.
It does not include travel to and from the venue nor any extra nights of accommodation before or after the course.
Payment: Credit card payment is not possible. Instructions for payment by bank transfer will be confirmed with the notification to successful candidates.
Travel grants: A limited number of travel grants are available for eligible participants. Applicants do not need to apply separately for travel grants for this event. Travel grants are allocated on the basis of the quality of the abstract submitted, with priority given to scientists from the EMBO priority countries. Selection of awardees is handled directly by the organizer who will notify all eligible participants.
